Kensho embarked on a mission to tackle a significant challenge in the realm of holistic health—the lack of a cohesive and accessible solution for patients seeking comprehensive well-being. The existing landscape was marred by fragmentation, making it difficult for individuals to connect with whole health coaches and manage their holistic health effectively.
One of the primary pain points was the absence of a unified platform that seamlessly integrated patient needs with the expertise of health coaches. Patients often found themselves navigating a labyrinth of disconnected solutions, leading to frustration and inefficiency in their holistic health journeys.
Moreover, Kensho recognized the need to bridge the gap between physical, mental, and emotional well-being, acknowledging that 'health' encompassed all these dimensions. The absence of a holistic approach in existing solutions was a significant roadblock in achieving optimal well-being.
Additionally, Kensho aimed to streamline the transition for its existing customers who relied on paper-based and manual methods. The challenge was to seamlessly migrate these customers to a digital platform without disrupting their health management processes.
The multifaceted nature of this problem, encompassing fragmentation, lack of holistic focus, and the transition of existing users, required a strategic and innovative solution. Kensho sought to revolutionize holistic health by creating a user-centric, multiplatform system that would empower individuals to find their unique path to well-being.
Process
The journey to transform Kensho into a holistic health powerhouse began with an extensive 24-week discovery phase. Our team, led by yours truly, embarked on a comprehensive exploration of the holistic health landscape and the specific challenges faced by patients, health coaches, and administrators.
Collaborative Workshops: We initiated the process with collaborative workshops that involved Kensho's internal design team, executive stakeholders, health coaches, and existing members. These workshops served as a crucial foundation for aligning our vision with Kensho's objectives and gaining insights from those intimately familiar with the existing manual systems.
User-Centric Design: The heart of our strategy lay in user-centric design. We recognized that the key to success was creating an intuitive and accessible multiplatform system. Our team of two talented designers meticulously crafted user interfaces that catered to the unique needs of patients, health coaches, and administrators.
Brand Design System: In parallel, we collaborated closely with Kensho's internal brand team to define a cohesive brand design system. This ensured that the entire Kensho experience, across all three platforms, reflected a consistent and compelling brand identity.
Streamlining Transition: A significant challenge was migrating existing customers accustomed to paper and manual methods onto the new digital platform seamlessly. We engaged in strategy workshops to devise effective transition plans that mirrored their current processes while leveraging the efficiency and accessibility of the digital platform.
User and Coach Feedback: Throughout the design and development phases, we actively sought feedback from Kensho's existing members and health coaches. This iterative process allowed us to refine our solutions, ensuring they met the needs and expectations of those who would rely on the platform daily.
Comprehensive Platform: The resulting system encompassed three distinct platforms: a user-facing platform, a platform for health coaches, and an admin dashboard for efficient backend management. Each platform was meticulously designed to cater to the specific requirements of its users.
Our journey was characterized by a commitment to innovation, user-centricity, and collaboration. Kensho's holistic health vision found its digital embodiment through our strategic and empathetic approach, setting the stage for a transformative solution.
Outcome
Our collaboration with Kensho aimed to revolutionize holistic health by creating a multiplatform system connecting patients with whole health coaches. While the app ultimately didn't launch, the project held significant promise in making holistic health accessible to a wider audience and streamlining health coach interactions.
The envisioned platform would have empowered individuals to take control of their physical, mental, and emotional well-being. It would have streamlined health coaches' efforts and improved operational efficiency. Additionally, our work with Kensho ensured brand consistency and a seamless transition for existing members.
